We are thrilled to announce we walked in the Calgary Pride Parade this past weekend to celebrate our 20th year of creating beautiful hair in Calgary! COMMUNITY - CALGARY PRIDE
We are beyond excited to announce that we will be kicking off our 20 year anniversary celebration by walking in the Pride Parade in support of our LGBTQ2S+ team and family members! Being selected as an entrant into this year's parade is a huge honour for us - Calgary Pride had an unprecedented amount of applications this year and entrants needed to demonstrate their ongoing commitments to our city's queer community. Some of the ways we show our pride year round include offering complimentary gender affirming haircuts to LGBTQ2S+ youth at events like Skipping Stone's Queer Prom, Camp Fyrefly, and more! In addition, we were one of the first salons in the city to offer gender neutral pricing nearly two years ago.
SKIPPING STONE
We were thrilled to have Skipping Stone join us at each of our Hedkandi and Butter staff meetings over the past two weeks to provide our team with gender diversity training to best support our trans and gender non-conforming guests!
