Ten Foot Henry
Chef Steve Smee and partner Aja Lapointe bring a local legend home as Calgary’s newest restaurant finds inspiration behind the iconic Ten Foot Henry . Originally a comic strip character created in the 1930’s, Henry was a muse for Calgary’s creative community in the 1980’s. The (literally) named Ten Foot Henry has been many places in his 35 years, including taking up full residency at the iconic Night Gallery for 19 years. Now, Ten Foot Henry returns to his longest running home at the Eagle Block, a new neighbour to Hedkandi Hotel Arts.
An all-day eatery that echoes the fast pace of the city, Ten Foot Henry offers unintimidating family-style dining. Chef Smee’s menu focuses on vegetable-anchored dishes with bold flavours of New North American cuisine. Aja Lapointe leads the front of house in this cozy 78-seater. Aja’s detailed service style and unrivaled ability to make every guest feel special will compel you to dine at Ten Foot Henry on the regular.
Henry can hardly wait to meet you!
