Butter Loves Local: PARKFORUM + Robbie Burns Bash

We're not huge fans of New Year's resolutions, but we love the opportunity the new year brings for a fresh start and inspiration, and we wanted to pass along some upcoming events that are sure to inspire! First, is PARKFORUM from our friends at PARK; a two-day summit for creatives and entrepreneurs to learn and grow.

Second is the Robbie Burns Bash, an event which raises funds for The Alex, a leading nonprofit in Calgary providing health care for our city's most vulnerable. Read on for details.

Robbie Burns Bash

The second annual Robbie Burns Bash takes place on Thursday, Jan. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the St. Louis Hotel. There will be entertainment, a silent auction, food from some of Calgary's best restaurants, as well as beer, wine, and scotch tastings. Tickets are $50 and cover all of your food and beverage samplings.

All proceeds from the event go to supporting the Alex Community Health Centre. The Alex is changing how we look at health care in Calgary. Their health, housing, and food programs support our most vulnerable neighbours, tackling tough health and social issues head-on. Since 1973, their cost-effective programs have saved millions of taxpayer dollars by moving people from poverty to stability and from crisis to wellness. Learn more about The Alex here.
